SOPHIA's membership policies and terms are presently in a process of reinvention. This is because SOPHIA has a long history and was successful at a number of past goals, after which some time passed before the organization's recent restructuring. SOPHIA would like to encourage philosophers who are interested in the broad, inclusive, and constructive kinds of public engagement of philosophy with wider publics to get in touch and to express their interest in participation in the society. The next few years will be important for the future of the organization. We are looking for people with energy and enthusiasm for the field and for practicing its activities in conversations with persons from other disciplines and from surrounding communities. SOPHIA's existing fellows and friends are not listed here, given our present restructuring.
